Default Shake advice?

The protein shake I am going to start using says to drink 2-4 servings daily. It only has 18 servings per tub, and 1 serving seems to be enough. 1 serving in 16 oz. of milk has about 838 calories, 62 g of protein, 108 g carbs, and roughly 16 g fat. I would think 1 serving of that is enough but should I use 2 a day? 2 a day would also mean using up an entire tub in 9 days.

if u can eat whole foods instead try for that, save urself some money by only having 1 a day, but make sure u can make up for the calories at some point during your day.

thats a pretty big shake, is it a MRP or PWO?

Whoa. I thought you were trying to lose weight. Post the brand and/or the breakdown per serving on the side of the container.

I wanted to know about fat burning for after a couple weeks of trying to gain. The shake is True Mass from BSN. I had a sample and it tasted really good so I am going to switch to it. Plus the shake I am using now has like 90 calories per serving and isn't helping much.

I'm pretty sure it is more towards meal replacement, but the only time I can really have it is after a workout so I guess Ill have it then.

It's a weight gainer hence the name TrueMass. It should taste great with all the sugar that is in it. Skip that and concentrate on Whey Protien shakes. if you want extra calories go with milk rather than water and get more whole foods that are calorie dense like natty peanut butter, chicken, tuna, yams, etc. There is a wealth of information in the nutrition articles, take some time to read them and it will change the way you look at nutrition.
