well yes the body would have to adapt to the exercise then as its capabilities and weight it can handle increase the muscle will too.

it terms of NMA what effect do you think supersetting a high NMA lower body exercise with a high NMA upper body exercise would cause?

think these fit into this suggestion too like commander suggested
Sled pulling - physically running with weight
Atlas Stone/Tyre carrying - moving through space with weight/carrying weight
